What is a Sirtfood Diet?
Two well-known nutritionists working for a private gym in the UK have created the Sirtfood diet. They are promoting the diet and health program that works by turning on your slimming gene.
The diet is on Sirtuins research (SIRTs), a group of seven proteins in the body that regulate various functions including metabolism, inflammation, and longevity.
Some natural plant compounds can increase the levels of these proteins in the body, and foods containing them are called Sirat foods.
Is Sirtfood Diet Effective?
The authors of the Sirtfood diet make bold claims, including that diet can help you lose weight, lighten your slimming gene, and prevent disease.
The problem is that there is not much reason to prove these claims.
So far, there is no convincing evidence that the Sirtfood diet's effect on weight loss compared to other low-calorie diets.
How to follow a Sirtfood diet?
The diet (Sirtfood) has two stages that last a total of 3 weeks. After that, you can continue your diet by including as much garlic as possible in your meals.
There are specific instructions for these two steps in the Sirtfood Diet book written by the diet creators. To follow the diet, you must buy it.
You will need a juicer and a kitchen scale, as the weight ingredients are listed. The recipe is as follows:
Green water diet Sirt food (Sirtfood)
75 grams of kale (2.5 ounces)
30 grams (1 ounce) of Rugola
5 grams of parsley
2 celery sticks
1 cm Ginger
Half a green apple
Half a lemon
Phase One of the Sirtfood Diet
The first stage lasts seven days and includes calorie restriction and plenty of green water. The goal is to start losing weight, and it will help you lose 3.2 kg in 7 days.
Food samples include tofu with a rough glaze, sirtfen omelet, or roasting shrimp with buckwheat noodles.
Phase Two of the Sirtfood Diet
Phase two lasts for two weeks. At this stage of maintenance, you must constantly lose weight.
There is no specific calorie limit for this step. Instead, eat three meals a day full of Sirat foods and one glass of green water. The recipes of the book suggest the meals.
After the Sirtfood diet
To lose more weight, you can repeat these two steps as many times as you want.
However, after completing these steps, it is recommended that you adjust your diet by regularly combining garlic in your meals.
Does the Sirtfood diet include new foods?
There is no denying that edible foods are good for you. They are often rich in nutrients and full of healthy plant compounds.
In addition, many studies have linked sirtfood to health benefits.
Safety and Side Effects of Sirtfood Diet
Although the first phase of the Sirtfood diet is low in calories and nutritionally deficient, there is no safety concern for a healthy, average adult due to the short duration of the diet.
For a person with diabetes, however, calorie restriction and drinking more water in the first few days of the diet can cause dangerous changes in blood sugar levels.
